I've used this stuff for all sorts of applications, and it's great

Also use lanolin in my Ed's Red, and when better half was feeding children.

Yeah, its use in nursing is a good one. Fluid film is a good example.
Even that link really seems to emphasize the anti-corrosive aspect.
Is there an application where a bearing or sliding surface is coated with lanolin vs. something else for lubrication? Maybe food grade applications?

Lanolin Grease is a very thick and tacky grease that have load capabilities which are not wash out under any conditions, from underwater to general usage. It should be apply with a paintbrush to get heavier protection.
