You should see the news out here when it rains.

Just so you guys know how the weather can change in Southern California:

Four days ago a friend of mine & I drove to breakfast from here to the Oaks Restaurant in Angelus Oaks. It was 19 degrees Fahrenheit there and icicles were all over the building.

But today in Alhambra it was 80 degrees and I ran the air conditioner in my car. I have the fan on me right now as it's hot in here, and I have had the furnace off for about 7 hours. The resident outdoor cat at this apartment is in the shade to keep cool. But here four days ago is was slightly below freezing right here.

Big Bear Lake, in the mountains I can see from Pasadena, saw 0 Fahrenheit the other day.

Crazy, eh Cristobal?
This p.m. the Green Line train had its heater strips stuck on full hot. 90F inside the car. Somebody probably did a "get 'er done" repair on them earlier this week to get around a broken thermostat.

I used to live in Granada Hills in the Valley. Appears that several days ago it was just below freezing for the low.

Doesn't happen all that often but is not unheard of either.

It was around 20 degrees F when I left for work this morning, and I honestly thought it still felt kind of warm for this time of winter. But this is Michigan... it'll probably be 85 and sunny in a few days... followed by snow the day after

I think Michigan is a place that makes a person pretty 'tough' when it comes to weather. The midwest in general does, I think. Granted, we don't get the EXTREME cold of say, central Canada, or the extreme hot of some of the deserts out west. But it's not uncommon to see longer stretches of at or below 0 F weather with bitter wind in winter, and also 100+ F days in the summer with massive amounts of humidity. The coldest I've experienced, at least that I can remember, was -19 F. The hottest was 110 F with near 100% humidity... on a construction site, with no shade, and fresh asphalt beaming the sun back into my face. I will never forget heat like that.

I went to visit my relatives in michigan a long time ago during the summer and it was like 85 degrees outside and 40 percent humididty. They were all dying and we're from Houston so it felt great to us. We were like you guys don't know what hot is. lol

You would probably love Hawaii then, I hear there are some parts of it where the temperature never goes below 70 and rarely goes above 80.
