Kudos to Team Pennzoil and Gena Fishbeck!

We don't, but the 6 quarts I got was sealed in the same packaging you see on the shelf. For my small time investment I am receiving 2 UOAs and 6 quarts of very good oil. Seems like a more-than-fair trade to me.

The packaging is sealed and is identical to retail PUP in every way. I do not see Pennzoil as a company that would digress into the shadiness that you are implying (if that is what you are implying). They want to show that PUP (or PP) can outperform comparable synthetics and have given up free oil and a UOA test. You do not gain new customers by attempting to pull the wool over their eyes and like the other major players I am certain that Pennzoil has a testing facility for "experimentation".

OK I used to watch too many X-File shows. They are not experimenting on us, or using mind control, so they would have us think anyway. "Here, the first one is free."

Very cool!

I'd request some for my Cobalt for a MI winter here, but my thoughts would be they would laugh at that thought (since the early ecotech 2.2's are pretty easy on oils)

Thinking they would test newer stuff with DI and turbos.....

But, then again my car might be much quieter with Ultra....which was NOT the case with the Pen Plat...

This!

I just PM'd Gena and she took care of everything, she was great! I should have the kit within a couple of weeks hopefully.

I am sure they are honest at pennzoil when it comes to the oil they sell there are to many labs out there to mess around..

I have used pennzoil for many years and have never had a problem their high mileage oil is the best in my book.

How would you compare their high mileage oil to pyb? Is it basically the same oil with seal conditioners?

She just asked me to do the pennzoil analysis...for my Ram!! The 5.7 really responds to the Ultra now... Look forward to seeing the UOA!

I'll ask here.

Do they want a fill of their oil, run your miles, sample then do another run and sample?

Would they rather test my V6 Tacoma with 105,000 miles or a brand new Subaru H6?

You do normal oil change from whatever oil you have in your engine now to Pennzoil (Platinum or Ultra) with OEM oil filter if possible. Run your normal OCI then take sample for UOA when you'll change out this Pennzoil.

About a month before the next oil change send an PM to Gena Fishbeck to see if Pennzoil likes you to do another UOA, if they do they will ship you another package.

PM Gena Fishbeck, she is the one who decides which vehicle is to use for this UOA study. Nobody here will be able to tell you which vehicle should be used for this UOA study.

You beat me to it. I just messaged her.

Maybe they would be interested in stats on my accent with 1.6gdi. But it's not turbo so probably not.

Well, its certainly a good way to generate some good will. After the last rebate debacle, its probably a good idea. I know a few people switched away from Pennzoil after that (including myself).

At least this is a genuine attempt to partner with the community to get real-world results.

For those of you who have received the free Pennzoil, how long is the time when Gena has notified that you will be receiving the oil and when it actually arrived? Thank you in advance!

About 1.5 weeks or so; but for me I am in Houston and so is Pennzoil.

Received my UOA kit yesterday! 6 qts of PUP 5w30. Bottles are dated March 2014.

Thanks Gena and Team Pennzoil!!!
