Kreen Update

Just added a little over a pint of the stuff using the 3oz per quart method. I'll let you all know how it turns out. So far from the few miles I've driven the vehicle around base, the idle definitely feels smoother. Maybe a little quieter but not very noticeable. I'll update what it does for my crazy varnished engine.

Some before and after pics would be nice, good luck.

Slightly OT I just ordered a few qts of Kreen. I'm going to try running it through the gas in my E-150 hoping to totally eliminate an occasional stumble on take off. It has improved greatly. Now that the weather is nice I'll have time to fool around with it again if the Kreen doesn't totally eliminate it.

Will do Trav. I placed an order yesterday, I was hoping for some kind of email confirmation and a tracking #, none yet. I have a bottle of RL FI cleaner in my small tank this beast has two gas tanks. I'll use up that tank with the RL FI cleaner. Then I'm going to run a tank of untreated gas, then the Kreen in the small tank when I fill it up again. It will be a while before any results are posted I haven't been working much, so the van has been sitting.

Generally, I've received a UPS automated email, but I've only ordered spray cans. Just used my Kroil and it works great. Tempted to try Kreen, but it is a lot of bucks and the best deal gets me 4 quarts, a oil can and shipping for about $65.

If you have a very dirty engine, then your money is well spent, I once needed to take a bolt off and the Kroil helped loosen it, WD-40 did not work, this product is the REAL DEAL, meaning Kreen, I have gotten some e-mail's from members who tried other oil additives too clean up there engines, and they have all told me that Kreen is the BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK.

If you do not believe me, then PM Trav, and he will give his story with Kreen as well as other oil additives that he has used to clean engines.

Just an update on my daughter's 2000 Eclipse the Kreen was added to. I don't know how many miles it's been, but she drives 10-30 miles a day just puttering around, and the Kreen was added several weeks ago. The engine tick at idle that disappeared immediately after adding the Kreen has yet to return, still running quiet. The car has had an OC since then and the tick is still gone after doing that. I've added about 10 oz of Kreen to her current oil (Maxlife), it will be changed late summer with some Mobil 1 T&SUV before she goes off to college. I want that motor as clean as possible when I'm not around, just in case.

Just got the price list and Kreen looks like it is increasing. They are still offering a Kreen deal, but it now come out to $75.50. Think the last deal for 4 quarts, a dispenser and shipping was around $66.50. Might have to see if I can order that deal now. New prices are supposed to be effective June 1.

For the first time they sent me a full price list. Noticed they have 2 Kreen dispensers -- a $15 (w/screw cap only) and a $20 (w/screw cap and spout). Think both include the better dispenser so it appears that the bottle is up $4, shipping a $1 and the Kreen up $1.50 a quart (total $6).

Amazing stories, all. Ordered 4 quarts and will begin testing it on our fleet trucks immediately.

Carbon builds fast in our duty cycle and we do no highway work to give the trucks the old Italian Tune Up.

Finally broke down and bought the Kreen deal before the price increase. Ordered a trial can of Dryphite too. So far, I've been extremely please with all the Kano products I've used. I have more than enough Aero Kroil to keep me going and a can a Silikroil and Penephite too.

I just reread this topic from beginning to end. I am little disappointed that some of the people who started on Kreen did not come back to update the status.

I am thinking of ordering it but I need to find how long the stuff will last in the sealed container. I have 3 vehicles, 2 were bought brand new and most likely only has varnish. At least the peek through oil filler hole shows no sludge. The other one was bought used at about 135K and it is not as clean as the other 2.

The oil capacity of all three vehicles is about 11 qts (4+4+3). Assuming single dosage for two cars and double dose for the 3rd car, is gallon of Kreen too less, too much or just right?

Thanks,

Hi Vikas,

I didn't do an original post upon adding 8 oz. of Kreen to

a 5qt. capacity pan which was about 1000k /1 month ago.I still

have 1/2 qt left at my next oci.If i get antsy to get rid of it

before then it'll go in the gas tank, but here's what i've

noticed so-far.On the dipstick, oil dropped from max-full down

to just below the line(I have a perfectly flat driveway)which

indicates some usage, from what?,I have no idea but somethings

working there. It did thin the oil a bit maybe thats why.The

color is VERY slowly(slower than usual) getting darker, not what

what I expected.Keep in mind this engine was never sludged,

always maintained, etc. I cant see in through the oil fill

because it's a van,which adds to my paranoia.At the half-way

point to my next oci ,I may just add the rest of the Kreen to

the crankcase. The directions say a pint every 1k, do they too

expect vaporization? So your question 'is a gallon too much?',

not if vaporization among three vehicles is taken into

consideration.I think though I would do two orders of the 1qt

cans to get double the free Aerokroil. What are your thoughts

on possible/designed vaporization?

I already have three cans of AeroKroil, I think I am all set for this life :-) Isn't shipping quite high per order? So even if I were to get the freebie of another product, it would still turn out to be cheaper to make a single order rather than splitting it.

For each of the 4 qt engines you will need 24oz for 2 runs @ 12oz per
For the 3 qt 16oz @ 8oz per.I round off the numbers as its not that critical,an ounce either way make very little or no difference.

Total of 64 oz for the oil or 2 qts.
Divide up the other 2 qts for the fuel the same way.

How long it will last? Good question, IIRC I thought something was mentioned about they expect products to last a minimum of 2 years, but that may have been the spray can. Probably would last a long time sealed.

You could always shoot messages to the users who didn't post asking for them to post their results. You may get one or two bites.

As for not using it quickly. Shipping is a decent portion of the expense. Shipping for 4 quarts they list it as $17 (going up to 18 on June 1). This may be a little high because that is on a deal that also includes a dispenser bottle. A Gallon is currently 44.50 going up to 50.50, but one big warning - the last price listing I have mentions there is a HazMat fee on 1 gallon or larger containers.

Right now you can get 4 quarts, a dispenser bottle and shipping for $66.50. (up to 75.50 on 6/1). So if you went this way you would pay a little more per quart, but not have the hazmat fee, get a free dispenser out of the deal and have it in sealed quarts.

4 quarts @ 12.50 /quart
Dispenser @ 16.00
Shipping @ 17.00

Man, I sounds like I'm selling this stuff and I haven't even used it yet. It's also not a bad time to get trial units of anything use you want to try, since the last flyer mentioned a minimum of 4 trials items to get the postpaid trial prices.
