Does such a drink exist?

As far as I know it is just distilled sugar cane, but I want it to be from a 'good' company.

I had Bacardi in the past and am considering Malibu, but EL Capitan Morgan is a possibility.

Beats me.

I'm not a Hebrew. I prefer white rum to vodka for fruit drinks . Gosling Back Seal for anything else. Excellent base for all sorts of drinks. Just wait 'til Havana Club starts appearing stateside.

This is the kosher bible you need if you care if your drinks are kosher or not

I myself don't care if kosher or not but it's kinda fun to read up on it.

Bacardi has a bite to it that I don't like. Captain and a diet Coke is my choice, very smooth and tastes like vanilla coke....wow!

I don't know about the kosher issue, but my wife and I have tried tried a few different rums over the past few months. If you're looking for a good yet inexpensive rum, Black Seal is a great option. Pricier but also better are Diplomatico Rum Reserva Exclusiva and Dictador 12 Year. All of those are darker and the last two are aged.

Edit: Black Seal is good for mixing (my wife really likes the dark and stormy) but the others are more for drinking straight and sipping.

Check this out.

Rhum JM

Ever since I first tried rhum agricole I honestly can't drink molasses based rum. This stuff would appear to be Kosher. I much prefer the 50% (100 proof) version to the one Yehoshua is reviewing here. He does have another video in which he reviews that, but this one explains the difference between rhum agricole and rum.

There are other brands that are good as well as aged versions. With rum I prefer an unaged spirit. That is just my preference.

If you would like conventional rum the aforementioned Mount Gay is a good one. Also good are;

Barbancourt
Flor de Caña
RL Seale
Bacardi 8
Kaniche
Appleton Estate
Pusser's
Diplomatico
Witherspoon's River Rum
Doorly's
Plantation

And, if you are looking for a real kick in a punch, instead of using Bacardi 151 (which has very little flavor), use Wray & Nephew Overproof.

This list is by no means exhaustive. All of the rums above are excellent for sipping or mixing. I even enjoy sipping overproof, but that's not an experience for everyone. In the case of Bacardi (above) I mentioned a single product. In the case of the others, any of their products are very good.
