Kohler courage 22hp sv620 float needle

Fils MTD gold mower.
Has a 22hp kohler courage single
Tip of float needle is deformed and leaking fuel both out of the carb and into the cylinder.
Was hydrolocked with cylinder full of fuel.
Remove spark plug and turned it over. Probably a cup of fuel came out.
Float needle is not sold separately

I bought an $11 carb from Amazon and it surges bad.

The carb needs adjustment? The new carb would have the needle so not sure why you'd need another one. There are some YT videos of slightly drilling out certain jet holes that may provide more fuel but no guarantees.

New $11 carb came with new carb gaskets, I have the mix screw all the way out suggesting air leak but everything seems well sealed.
New carb has hard needle which seals into soft seats.
Where the old OEM carb had a soft needle and hard seat. (My initial plan was to just swap the needle from New carb)

I have 3 other Amazon carbs coming so hopefully one of them works
