I was at Kmart earlier today and they had their Spectrum Plus SN rated oil on sale for $1.99/qt. I asked a Sears employee a few months ago who made it, and he said Olympic Oil LTD. Is this oil as good as Walmart's Supertech made by WPP?

From what I was able to tell when I looked into it before, no, not even close. Should be fine for top off but you can get good name brand stuff on sale for not much more (Kmart runs Quaker State for $2.59 a quart on a regular basis for example) so not worth stocking up on IMO. O'Reilly's had Havoline recently for $1.99 as well, wait for a better deal.

Any time that I have used SPECTRUM Oil from SEARS, it was made by WPP and I like the way my engines started/ran. Smooth/quiet!

I like the new Large Pour Bottles

I vaguely remember my dad using some Spectrum oil from Sears over 20 years ago. Can't remember anything about it really, other than it was on sale, was either 5w30 or 10w30, and came in black bottles.
