Now that Advance Auto has left the left state of CA, its too expensive to order Carquest filters and pay freight. I see Amazon is selling "Killer" filters, with the same number as the Carquest I use, 85515.
Anyone know anything about "Killer" ???

You can find those filters on closeout from Rockauto under the "famous brand" name. A bunch of us just got some for under two bucks each, shipped. They aren't always on closeout but they are sometimes.

DO NOT assume a part number means an equivalent part-- Intel went through this when they couldn't trademark "486."

I would order a Pentius filter from Amazon before I’d order a “Killler” oil filter.

Eww no.. if you are going amazon.. just buy some brand you have heard of..
or purchase 6 from rockauto to dilute shipping charge.

Info on Killer's website. Could give them a call and find out who makes them. Scroll down on the page to see specs info.

Most cheapened oil filters nowadays can be engine killers. LOL.

Sounds like they're somebody?

"We have heard more than one customer tell us, “If Killer Filter cannot find a filter, it does not exist!”
On top of finding filters across the world, Killer Filter boasts about it’s customer list that includes regular purchases from titan companies like Exxon, Nucor, Fastenal, [List three or four more].
These top level companies purchase from Killer Filter because we consistently deliver on our brand promises."

When I see "Killer" I think of the Beavis & Butthead episode where a crazed, escaped murderer winds up in B&B's home. He has "Killer" tattooed on his forehead, which Beavis mistakes for his name and naturally thinks the guy is uber-cool. So for the rest of the episode, Beavis is calling him "Ky-ler" and treating him like Brad Pitt.
