Is the Kia SP-IV ATF considered a low viscosity fluid, similar to Dexron VI?
I'm trying to come up with alternatives to dealer oil for my '15 Sedona which specs SP-IV. Maxlife is an option as it lists SP-IV as compatible on the label.
Castrol Import ATF is also available locally, it lists KIA - all specifications on the label. But it's not a low viscosity fluid (to my knowledge) as it says it's not intended for use in vehicles that use Dexron VI.. I know of know other reason a fluid wouldn't be Dexron VI compatible other than it not having a low enough viscosity.
Considering Amsoil as well but not sure if the costs vs benefit equation adds up.
Curious what options others have used in the Kia 6 speeds that's worked well for them.
