Kia Seltos needs battery. What about a regulator?

I have a 2021 Kia Seltos, took it in for my routine oil change at 56k miles. I was told I needed a battery. I immediately took it to Auto Zone and they tested my battery and told me it was fine, they tested my alternator and it was the problem. Auto Zone refused to sell me a battery, (thank you, nice honest employee). They gave me 2 print outs of the results. I then took my car back to dealership, that told me the battery was bad, and gave them the print outs and requested the alternator be changed out under warranty. I had 63k miles and the dealership told me if I had brought it back under 60k they would have replaced it.. anywho, I purchased an alternator off Amazon, replaced it myself, and haven't had any issues. I am at 73k miles now.
