Rookie mistake I didn't let this thing drain. What is the best way to let it drain around the adbv?

......What is the best way to let it drain around the adbv?
Hold open a couple inlet holes on one side of OF using either tooth picks, q-tip middles or something similar. Place in a funnel, and let drain into a jug of some sort. Let it drain awhile/overnight, should get most of the oil out. Then cut open.

Filter looks good. Thanks for c&p.

Picked up another 6 filters with a 5% off coupon yesterday, comes to about 5.70 + tax (free shipping) per fiter excluding about 7% cashback. Cost is about the same as the black Mann filter from RA, but I get nice blue OEM filters :)
It was either this or Supertech st9688, but I prefer silicone adbv. This seller says they ship in bubble mailer, which is an upgrade from my last shipment which was only a plastic bag resulting in 1 filter getting dented.

2018 kia optima ex with the 2.4 theta II GDI.
Out: M1 10w30 EP, this oem filter.
In: Kirkland 5w30, another OEM filter.
*I have the same engine (2.4L GDI) and have standardized the same 4K mile / 6 month OCI with either 10W30 or 5W30 synthetic oil . Instead of the OEM oil filter I prefer the Fram Ultra XG9688 oil filter which I use for two OCI's .
