Kendall or Trop Artic

I know Trop Artic and Kendall are both made by Conoco Philips but which one of the 5W30 semi-blends is considered to be the better formula? They have a different smell and color plus the MSDS sheets show a different base oil / additive ratio.

I have not seen any Kendell seim-synthetic so I can not speak to that. I will say that for the extremly low cost of trop-Artic it is a hard oil to beat. Just bear in mind that this is not an extend oil change oil!

Depends where you live I suppose.

We have kendall here in new york, their basic oil is semi synthetic, and they now have a full synthetic lube.

I have never seen a bottle of trop artic in my life.

Here in western/central PA we have the rare sighting of Kendall GT-1 Semi-Synthetic along with Brad Penn from the old Kendall refinery.

What ever is cheaper...They are both great oils.
