Kendall GT-1 vs Motorcraft.

September 13th this year.

I grabbed that info on a Trop-Artic MSDS.

Is it possible. I would have to agree.

I have friends that work for Phillips but I am not going to get more specific information from them.

I really do not care if corn syrup was the majority of the base fluid in their PCMO's I believe that Phillips is second to none even though other than Motorcraft their products are hard to find around here.

I ended up calling Conoco/Phillips and asking if there was anyone local to purchase from and they did give me the name of someone to contact that is about 40 miles from where I live.

My online request got me the standard findkendall.com website and the direct link where I could buy it online.

Since I'm going to assume there is not enough difference in these two oils or even the Trop Artic which I can get locally, I will probably just stick with the Motorcraft blend since it is very easy to get. If I could find the Pennzoil blend in 5W-20, I would probably use that since I run Pennzoil in all of my other vehicles and like it.

Dave 1251 :
I have yet to see a actual MSDS PDS , from Conoco Phillips that states Tropartic is made with any percentage of Grp I oil , nor have I seen one for Conoco or Kendall or for 76 lubes .
While Conoco does compound oils for Ford, it is based on what they set forth to the oil supplier , Gee even other members are showing you info that does'nt agree with your point.

I know your can read but for some reason you do not want to believe the information that was provided to you. That is not surprising at all from the erroneous posts you continuously spew on here.

Where is the "info" you speak of from other members on here? I am sorry that either you are unable to post any relevant technical information since you have joined this site or you have made the decision not to.

So if I wanted to stay with a Conoco/Phillips oil and wanted to stay with what I can get local, would the Motorcraft be better than the Trop Artic? With Trop Artic not on sale at the moment, they are pretty much the same in price.

I'm still thinking about ordering the Kendall from PSC so that is still a possibility.

I still keep going back and forth on whether or not to go with a blend or a full synthetic. It seems from some of the things I've read on the Mustang forums, some of the 5.0's have developed "ticking" noises from their engines after switching to a full synthetic. I ran into this years ago when I switched to Mobil 1 on my 98 chevy truck and I don't want this to happen on this Mustang and is why I'm kind of hesitant to use a full synthetic again.

I need to just not worry about it and pick something, but this is my first new vehicle since my 98 Chevy truck and my first new performance type vehicle so I want something that is going to protect well and make this engine last.
