Inflation is at 4.4%-6.2% depending on the index du jour. These cereal workers are just getting behinder more slowly.

Did they have no pay for 2 months? i’m not familiar with strikes. quick look indicates unions might have some fund to help strikers during a strike.

Unions do have a ‘strike fund’ but how much money is in the fund ?
Whats the burn rate of strike fund ?

Going back to work is a good thing even if they couldn’t get 3X what they wanted.

Generally a union strike pay is only a portion of the real wages so it's designed to tide folks over until the strike ends.

Talking about cereal shortage. Wife is trying to get Grape Nuts Flakes (the only cereal she eats) and it was almost out for 6 months and finally it went in stock and is discontinued all over major chains. I've been searching and so far it seems like only boutique mom and pop stores have them, for $6 a large box (18oz?).

We are down to 2 boxes in the house and I have seen some scalpers are trying to sell 2 pack for $28 on Walmart.com

Not trying to make this political, but I'm honestly surprised that there any Kellogg's plants still in the country. Every time I check a box, the contents are made in either Mexico or Canada.

Does any one care if cereal is Made in USA vs North America where majority of food comes from?

Why not though. Cereal boxes are mostly air and processes are mostly automated, transportation cost would be way higher if made in Canada or Mexico.
