There's a sweet young thing that works at the mower shop that hooks me up.

We have a local ACE hardware that carries some Stihl and Honda equipment along with some mower oils and batteries. They have the Kawasaki 10w40 and 20w50, as well as the Honda 5w30 and 10w30. Most of the time the oil is priced pretty high, but occasionally I'll go in there and grab some Honda 10w30 that is marked down to $4 a quart.

Wow! The Home depot near me charges around $15-$16/qt for the Honda 10W-30 OPE oil .

Mobil 1 15W50 is fine if you can find it. I run it in my briggs vanguard.

Been running Rotella 15/40 conv. for 9 years in my Kaw 691/Hustler SD54 down here on the gulf coast.

Same oil in my V Twin 999 home generators(8 years), the same oil in Mercury 4S outboards(12 years)

15w40 oil is great for air cooled engines. I have used it for years.

This is what I use and it's about four bucks a quart.

Surprised it's still api sl might need to pick up a few quarts. I think it would make a good break in oil
