K&N Oversize Oil Filter

The K&N oil filter for my '24 Toyota GR86 FA24 engine is larger than the one specified for my '18 Forester. So I am now using that larger filter for my Forester.

As I have said before 99% @ 20 microns vs 99%@ 30 microns is not going to prevent my '18 Forester from going 60K miles nor my GR 86 from going 40K miles. In three years I intend to trade both in on a '28 Forester. I am guessing I won't have to put out any $$.

I also (just for fun) may but an Ultra on for say 100 miles just to clean up the oil..lol.

You would be hard pressed to ever discern a meaningful difference between those 2 “micron ratings” in use for even a half million miles I’d imagine.
Much more important things to to worry about.
