K&N oil filter, safe to run over 1 year?

That's a name that I haven't heard in a long ..long time. I lived in Attahborah (near Nauhtun) ..but when I was a very young child I had an older relative that apparently had something to do with high tension lines that either went through Tewksbury ..or he was from Tewksbury. They were forever referred to as the uncletweksburylines.

A good memory is sometimes not all that it's cracked up to be.

So if I read correctly, K&N takes out particles up as small as 25 and in another post Mobil 1 takes particles out as low as 10? If this is true Im dumping my K&N for Mobil 1 next time.

Then you have to wonder how much of the time the Mobil 1 will be in bypass as it loads up with dirt...

Its not going to load up with that much dirt lets be realistic.

K&N only claims 90% efficency. All the others are in the 96+ catagory.

At what size

If it's the 25um that's thrown around ...that's better then a few 96%'rs

Yes, both have the 2.475" O.D. gasket, or at least the older ones I have do.

Here's a 7100 mile UOA with particle counts by ekpolk in his G35. I believe he used a K&N HP-1004 and GC. PM him to verify.
