just what is a "Snake Oil".?

NuFinish works very well for me... I think it was on TV at one point but I've never seen an infomercial for NuFinish. I just know it works for about a year on one application.

Wait a minute. OCD can be a good thing! I mentally go over every step of the oil change process several times so its unlikely I'll ever accidentally skip a step and do something silly like start the engine after forgetting to add oil. Same thing with the checking the house several times before leaving town, less likelyhood of fire or break-in.....maybe I do need help.

What's snake oil ? The stuff that makes for a quiet night. Quite a few years back in Oklahoma someone that I knew ended up with a girl friend from Oregon. One summer night when the 17yr locusts were singing up a storm she asked what sound that was. We told her that it was from snakes mating, where their scales rubbed together. She was worried that there were so many snakes, as we managed to keep the story going for over a year.

recognizing you have a problem and admitting it is the first step.

Seriously, I do believe many on this site tend to over anal-yze things.....

Remember, just because you "believe" in it doesn't mean it's not snake oil.
