Just saw first new gen HW Vietnam made Mobil M1-210A 20K mi rated filters at Walmart

I've been using these filters for a couple of my cars for many years. After reading about the fall of Champion and MH on this site, I was about to look into into switching to the Carquest Premium, but the closest store is rather far from me.

Hopefully this is good news, since i can continue to buy filters at my local Walmart - and now get the same/similar quality as the CQ Premium!

Time will tell, and I hope to see some forum members cut one open for an evaluation!

Purchased at Walmart for $11.44.

Definitely gives me Pentius vibes to be honest. Most likely VAFI built(made in Vietnam). Some models are made in South Korea. A little extra glue but otherwise a high quality build. Much better than the previous M+H made M1 filters. Highline Warren is handling the warranty on these.

Tomorrow I’ll cut out the media and get measurements.

Yes, I saw that but it was the M1-108A. I posted because up to that point no one knew 1) exactly when the new M1-210A was going hit the shelves, and 2) if it was going to be made in Vietnam or South Korea.

Shouldn't really matter if the new Mobil 1 filter is made in Vietnam or S. Korea, because M+H is out of the Mobil 1 filter game. Now it's Highline Warren (not PGI). They look like PGI construction ... so could be made at some of the same factories as PGI made filters.
