Remember that odds are, their vehicle is just a reflection of the state of the rest of their life. Some people struggle with mental illness or in the best light, just aren't car people and their mother never forced them to clean up after themselves.

Don't know about you guys, but I'm almost obsessed in the opposite extreme. Every time I get out of the car I make sure there is nothing left behind on the seats, floors or anywhere else. I dust the dash, doors and console area many times week. The carpet is also vacuumed cleaned at least 2-3 times a week. Viewing that "Just Rolled In..." YouTube channel makes me feel uneasy inside ....

Years ago, one of the workers at the plumbing company I worked at was the same way. While everyone truck was covered in mud, and dust and wood shavings, his was immaculate. His work was the same, but he cursed the world and women. Weird guy. From West Virginia of all places.
Having grown up with parents who smoked in the car with the windows up, I can confirm. It made ME stink, too. Good times...

I smoked for a few years as a teenager. But never inside out of respect for others. It is a very gross habit. Glad I quit.
I went to a one-car accident scene once where the vehicle was totaled. EMS cleared the operator and I was told to give her a courtesy ride home. The girl was absolutely gorgeous and wearing expensive-looking clothing. She asked for my help I gathering a few things from her Jeep before it was towed.
The floorboards were all six inches deep, at least, with cigarette packs and butts. I was in disbelief at how such a lovely lady could smoke so much and allow her car to get to that point.
I stand corrected... YouTube is blocked at work. But I get reddit ripoffs on my Facebook feed.
Beauty is skin deep. Could have been the nicest girl in the world, but impressions do, what they do.
Smoking is not that big of a deal IMO, but the trash thing is inexcusable.
