Just passed IM test, with MMO in gas.

Been using MMO in gas since last summer, in every tank. I just had the vehicle tested (before renewing the registration). As in all other times, passed with no problems whatsoever. This time it had gasoline treated with MMO. All emissions are within the limits.

Yet another nail in the myth that MMO poisons cats.

He's just stating that he's been using it for a length of time, no harm was done to the cats. The vehicle passed emissions.

My Jeep was 14 years old and passed inspection every time on the same cat that was 225k miles old lol

Gave me a better lubricated fuel pump, engine and more MPG without any bad side effects.

1988 Ford E-150 4.9L NYS emissions test 2/18/10. What might be interesting to some is this van was fed MMO via an inverse oiler since 1989. It has always had MMO either fed via the inverse oiler or added to the gas since new. Original cat converter. No harm to the engine or cat as far as I can tell.

Test results as follows:

Hc limit 1.60
Results 0.17

CO limit 40.0
Results 0.2

NOx limit 2.50
results 1.23


No problems for a truck that is now 22+ years old, severe service, with only 71,500 miles

1993 Aerostar, MMO in gas since I bought it with about 53,000 miles. 1/14/09 Miles on it at time of test 166,551 original cat converter EGR and 02 sensor. This truck hadn't been tuned up in close to 80,000 miles when it was tested. No problems as far as I can tell.

1993 Aerostar 1/12/10 179825 miles. Everything else remains the same. I did tune it up at about 177,800 miles.

It can be said these results I posted could have been the same, better, or worse w/o MMO added to the gas, I'll never know. The point I'm bringing out is MMO didn't harm the cat converter, O2 sensor or anything else for that matter. I use it to lube the fuel pumps, and for the UCL benefits.

NOx is little higher for this one, right? Your other two vehicles beat the numbers by miles.

Yes NOx was a little high. But keep in mind the van is 22+ years old, and an I-6, not to bad. It was one of Fords best engines IMO. But not to good on the sniffer. At least in my experience owning a few of those engines, and from what other people have told me. The other report was for the same vehicle, only the second report was a year later.

Well, I want to see numbers getting better as the car gets older It got more loving care from all the additives, so I want to see the results. Otherwise, if the trend continues, in another 10 years that car will NOT meet the emissions standards

We don't get real sinffer test in our state; so I don't get the numbers.

We all want to see the numbers get better with age. Problem is the engine is older and has more wear, so the numbers on the sniffer will probably change, not for the better. I have a few more years for my E-150 and it will be a classic. That means no sniffer, safety check only! I can't wait!
