Just bought some TW S&S

Yup, just bought a bottle of Turtle Wax Seal & Shine at Walmart.

I've been wanting to try S&S(and the new Hybrid Solutions Ceramic). I've been in FL for the past month and have access to water and everything I need from the house that I am in and I'd like to wash my car before the trip home. I figure that I'll give the car a good wash & dry w/ a spritz of S&S prior to(day before) packing up the car for the trip back north.

Now, this bottle of S&S isn't the "NEW" improved formula which seems to show slightly better results in a side-by-side comparison(in one particular Youtube video) with the original formula but, it'll do.

I know that there are others here who like S&S and there are several threads about it as well but, I'd still like to hear comments about the product if you will.

With all of my other quick detail type products that I have in my stash, I do spray the microfiber towel/cloth instead of the vehicle itself(followed by a dry microfiber). This has just been the way that I prefer to do it. Oh sure, once in a while I may spray a particular panel but that's not my regular method. Sometime, I just have to do what works for that particular day, outside temp etc.

rooflessVW yes indeed, I have used a 2nd/3rd damp microfiber towel/cloth to remove streaks. I used to use more product while trying to remove the streaks on darker colors only to find that it just streaked more and it became an uphill battle...2nd/3rd meaning, I use the 1st mc cloth to apply, 2nd(dry) to polish, 3rd as the damp cloth(if needed) followed by again, that 2nd dry one.

I love it. I would do the front end thoroughly. I would even consider putting on a slick detail spray over it. It will help with the bugs you are going to get on it.

Subscribing as I'm tempted to buy some myself, for our new car. I figure, if I can make the process "easy" then I will be more apt to do it on a regular basis (wipe on, wipe off? how hard could it be?).

Rinseless wash with multiple rags and a spray wax/sealant of your choice is the way to go.

I can get around either of my cars, washed, waxed, and tire shine, in less than 30 minutes.

Thanks, will look into that. Most of the year I could run a garden hose; it's those months that I can't which need the hose the most (winter sand can pile up on the car very easily).

On this rinseless wash, what's the opinion when one has sand on the car? Winter cleanup is still ongoing here, so when the roads are wet, I can get sand on the car--like the sand you get at the beach, not dust, I'm talking sand.

I suspect that if you can see dirt, then you shouldn't be doing rinseless? I watched the vid but now I forget if he mentioned that.

Absolutely love TW ice seal and shine.

I'm out of it and it was out of stock at my last WM visit so I picked up a green bottle of TW wax and dry which is all they had at the time. It's cheaper. It goes on nice and looks great for a bit, but doesn't hold up like the above.

I have used rinse less since early 2000,s. First was Quick & Easy Wash. If it had dried mud on it I would spray it heavy with same solution and let it sit for a few minutes then use fluffy MF with a light touch. Then hit it again. Bucket has a grit guard in the bottom. No problems even on my black SRT8 washed once or twice a week.
I haven't used any thing but in all these years save the occasional laser wash.

Define extremely dirty? I only really noticed this sand as I contemplated doing a rinseless wash, most of the time I wouldn't notice.

Anyhow--reason I was asking, I noticed the sand on the wife's new car, which we haven't owned for a week.

! I'm happy when my cars are that clean after washing! I kid... mostly...

Just checked and I think the sand I noticed the other day is gone. But it's definitely dusty. I'm now reminded of why I've never bought a dark colored car in the past...

Quick pic of the car. Mind you, we picked it up Wed from the dealer, nice and shiny. This is Monday. The rocker shows where my daughter has rubbed against it, and you can see the reflection of a wastebin and a box in the top of the door. It's been driven only on pavement, and I bet we have put less than 100 miles onto it.

I keep a garden sprayer full of a heavier dilution for a pre-soak.

But it is really only applicable in winter. In summer I just do a conventional wash when the car gets crusty.
