The VCM is Honda V6 only issue which deactivates cylinders to boost MPG but causes oiling issues. If you aren't looking at the V6 Honda you don't even have to worry about it.

As far as age of the Toyota vs the Honda, i would go more by condition than the model year, 2 years is not a large enough difference to matter when your talking about almost new cars.

Have you compared how they hold their value over time? Are you keeping the vehicles til they run into the ground or X amount of years?

We have 10 in our work fleet, all have been very good cars. One has 230k on it, it looks new and runs awesome I just drove it Friday. Transmission also shifts like new. They're good cars just keep up with the maintenance and it'll last you a long time.

I've gotta ask, now that you've thrown around 5 or 6 different car makes. Any reason you haven't mentioned a Ford Fusion or Ford Taurus (SHO :-D )?

I used to know what that meant. "We" = "the wife".

Looks futuristic. Kinda like a "concept car" that made it.

FLORIDA, go to the library or subscribe online to Consumer Reports, and they will tell you all the reliability info you need, Annual Auto Issue, or yearly book there. They get many owner experiences, instead of statistically invalid stuff you hear off and on.
