Thank you for the reminder. Thought of it yesterday, and completely forgot about it by today.
 
To the men and women of the Greatest Generation...Thank You. And a special thank you to the Canadians at Juno Beach!
 
Thank you to all who served. RIP to my former neighbor Paul Dippel who served in the Army and fought in Normandy. He lived to the age of 92 and was one of the most interesting people I ever met.
 
On this day, I think of my grandfather. A survivor of the Battle of the Bulge. He made it home and he and grandma had my mother. But he never lived to see her grow into an adult.

Thanks to him for his service and my grandmother for hers in the factory making ammunition "for the boys" overseas.
 
Thanks for the reminder. I also want my generation and younger to remember the sacrifices made to ensure our freedom.
