Closing what?
Their facility will be closing as in not be open for business.

I'm a bit incredulous about this.. Are you referring to the entire company as a whole, a segment of it or a specific location?Their facility will be closing as in not be open for business.

Gotcha. My town actually had a Gates factory for a number of years, they closed and moved those operations to another plant in... Oklahoma I think.

That's too bad for all involved.. been there, done that with a different company.
I’ve wondered about the MC oil. WM sells a house brand syn…A 15W40 HDEO is a good choice.
A 10W40 4T Motorcycle oil is another good choice.
I have a Kawasaki Mule. It’s just easier for me to use the same oil in my mower as I do in my UTV.I’ve wondered about the MC oil. WM sells a house brand syn…
Lately I've been going seasonal (<50 hours) on the oil and every other season using a larger Fram TG-3614.With the synthetic oil and syn. specific filter, do you change your oil and filter changes to a different interval or stay with approx. every 50 hours?
The Kawasaki FR730V engine manual states to change the oil yearly or every 100 hours. Regardless of the type of oil and filterGot the oil and filter changed, was definitely blacker in the sump than on the dipstick, as someone mentioned. The mower did seem a little more quiet with the synthetic, I don't know if it is true or just my imagination.

For $8.72 a quart, ehh…I’ve wondered about the MC oil. WM sells a house brand syn…
It is $$ but it may have something better for air cooled small engines (?).For $8.72 a quart, ehh…
Better off with the synthetic 15w-40 HDEO for $15.84 a gallon.

What are your guys opinions on an oil cooler? I don't know if there is enough room back there but was just thinking a cooler oil would even be better. I don't know how much temp drop it would be but it would also add more oil to the system. Would it have to be mounted lower than the dipstick to keep the level reading correctly?
The original oil cooler I had was way too big being for an auto transmission, oil in the mower never got over 160F. I did get a smaller one made for the B&S big motors. I would directly mount under the oil filter for B&S but I can only use the cooler on the Kawasaki. So I mounted it above the flywheel screen. Unfortunaly it hasn't rained here much in the last three months so haven't racked up enough hours for the complete installation.https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/oil-cooler-and-gauges-on-jd-z320m.381090/
