Is anyone running Fram PH3614 on a John Deere D140 riding tractor? I noticed it’s quite a bit larger than the stock John Deere AM 107423.

I used the JD filter when swapping out the factory fill. Next up was the Wix 51348 for two seasons. The last eight seasons have been run with the Fram TG3614. I average only 30 hours per year on my unit so lately I've been running the TG3614 for two seasons. As for oil, it was 10w-30 Mobil1 HM for the first six seasons and 15w-40 Rotella T6 for the last four.

PH3614 will usually fit although longer, but the PH4967 is more commonly used in place of the JD AM107423.
Just did a check. The tractor I thought was a D140 is actually a D-160. It uses a B & S 24 HP V-twin. While the 3614 might be the answer for some Kohler and Kawasaki engines the diameter of the gasket is definitely too large for the D-160 and the PH4967 described above is definitely more like it.

This is the community mower we use on our ball diamond and now I’m more up to speed on it! Thanks

You are seriously overthinking this thing. The D140 and D160 use the same 724cc V-Twin engine. Those small differences in gasket diameters are irrelevant based upon many, many posts here on BITOG not to mention my own experience. That being said, if you can easily find the filter of your choice at the same price as the 3614 then go for it.

Looks like there's room to got to an even longer filter
should you desire. the Fram 3600 is the next size up.

My 2¢
Yep. #3600 on my 2290 Kubota with the 726cc Kawasaki and PH8A on my X320 JD with the same engine.
5w40 A3/B4 in the JD because it’s gonna blow snow this winter, 15W40 in the Kubota.
