Too much. How old is it, 25 years old?
Yes they are built like tank and high quality. BUT (BIG but here), they are heavy, slow, hard to turn, and obnoxious. Basically, they make mowing a CHORE. I know, I used one for a summer just because even though I had much better mowers.
Look for a Toro, Honda, Snapper, anything else really. They are not fun or easy to use. You will hate it.

I have a JE75 and i love it.
As Bubba states its heavy ! its built like a tank ! but it mulches grass and leaves in the fall like no other mower i have ever owned. And yes i have had a toro super recycler and a honda with the cheaper so to speak gc engine.

Is it a silver deck or green deck?
I have a green deck 12pb with the Lawnboy engine. It is heavy but cuts nice. Parts are hard to come buy though.

I think $200 is a bit much for that. Those are fairly old.

I had to look up the specs on the JD 14SE. They weigh in at 119lbs. That is a beast of a 21" for sure. I thought my ~100lb Snapper commercial ninja mulcher was heavy. That JD is basically 20% heavier!
Weight is an important concern. Even though my Snapper can achieve ground speeds requiring you to almost run behind it (I can't use it at those speeds), it's a workout on uneven terrain or maneuvering around objects.

The MSRP on a 1992 JE75 was $879.00. BBC, electric start, Tuff Torq 5 speed trans, aluminum deck, Kawasaki full pressure oil system with an optional oil filter. They are HEAVY and are difficult to 'jockey' around objects but if it were near me, and relatively clean, I'd be on it like a duck on a junebug for 2 Benjamins! My 1998 jx75 is similar and I wouldn't sell mine for $200. Look for a noisy BBC bearing, but the bearing is still available from JD.

Mine is a jx75, with a green aluminum deck and the oil filter option. I also have a JD 14SB which is the same mower, but with the unpainted aluminum deck. The 14se is the same as the 14sb, but with electric start. They came with the Kawasaki FC150v engine. The earlier engines came with the 4.5 hp fc150v but the later models came with the upgraded 6 hp fc150v engines. Yes, it is confusing. Some also came with an extremely rare B&S two stroke engine, but I can't remember the model number. The mower in the video is exactly like mine, only I bought a mulch plug for mine and do not use the bagger.

A two stroke one would be a 12sb. Mine is a 12pb. That is a two stroke push type with the blade brake clutch. There is something on the internet that explains the model numbers.
There is a 12se old Lawnboy style near me that I need to go get eventualy.

Got a 14PZ that I bought new in 1996. It still runs good but smokes when you start it up. Deck wheels are shot, all loose and such but it has been a very good mower. $150 new in 1996.
