I still watch the old Gomer Pyle reruns...though he was good on the show, I thought it was actually Frank Sutton (Sgt Carter) who made the show so great...RIP Mr. Nabors.

Did he ever make it past PFC on Gomer Pyle. I liked that show. Poor GySgt Carter was always having a tough time with Gomer.

I never watched Gomer Pyle but I always knew him from the Indy 500. Very sad indeed. Hearing him sing "Back Home Again in Indiana" was always my sign that summer was starting.
