Can't wait to see what the Gladenator sells for. Given Wrangler prices, this might start at $50k for the Rubicon version. Think I'm kidding?
"To get an idea of Gladiator pricing, I configured a Wrangler loaded to the hilt. The price tag on a Rubicon with all the bells and whistles? Over $57,000. Considering the Gladiator is that and then some, it'd be safe to say a fully loaded Gladiator Rubicon will probably hit $60,000." -- http://www.thedrive.com/news/25179/...-dealer-markup-and-possible-release-date

Evokes images of Mahindra styling & quality. Ugly but functional. Does go with a camo jacket+hat and gun rack though.

No, the Rubicon version might go for $60k estimated.
The one in the picture is the base model Gladinator which might go for $45K, so they are only partial idiots.

That thing is ugly. Huge bed that I imagine when off-roading is going to be dragging when descending from obstacles. Need a short bed version.

The way these things hold their value, the complete idiot will have people fighting to buy it 5 years later for $55k.

Gladinator?? The Jeep brand is an honest American brand success story. They'll sell all they can produce and owners will love them.

edit: googled gladinator and it's a character in some game. Not sure if it's a diss or what.

Seems to me Jeep Wranglers hold their value the longest and fetch the highest prices in the secondary car market. I bet these pickups will be sold over MSRP the first year and won't be buyable for list price until the second or third year.

Off the subject a Chrysler dealer just called me , I bought a vehicle from him 15 years ago . He told me I can lease a new Dodge extended cab pretty well equipped for $93.00 a month and $93. down . I told him no thanks , I'm fine right now . How do they do it ? Lol

I think Scrambler might have been a better name for it, but oh well.

If they started in the low 30s I think they would be competitive. I'd love a smaller , solid axle truck with a manual trans. But if I was going to drop that type of money on a truck, there's a lot of 3/4 and 1 ton trucks sitting on dealer lots.

I'm kind of interested in this and the newer Ranger. But I know i can configure a Ranger exactly how I want for $34000. The base model, manual trans JL Truck for $45k is a lot ...

probably more like 30k base, will new Ranger have removable tops, softop, removable doors, solid axles and availible lockers?

It will probable be priced similiar to the wrangler, people who are value shopping and dont want convertible, off road chops will go full size. bet they sell 200k units first year easy

Actually I thought these two guys would be driving one, hence the Gladinator name: (which, BTW, would be perfect for a personalized license plate.)

A good name for an Ihop menu item maybe. Gladinator wins the name battle. (You can't reason with a Terminator, and its his pick.)

That rig with that decal pretty much guarantees you the pick of dates at the local alternative lifestyle watering hole.
