Hey guys, im new to this site...although ive already spent way too many hours on it. I just bought a 98' Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0 6cyl. Ive spent hours pouring through this forum and trying to take it all in. I want to run a full synthetic because I want maximum protection. Taking care of my car is really kind of a hobby of mine. Right now im running Pennzoil SUV, Truck and Minivan synth. blend. Reason being i have a slight oil leak in the front of the engine b/t the oil pan and engine block. Ive read that full synthetics can cause existing leaks to become worse and/or start new ones. So ive stayed away from the full synthetics. However, the other day i saw an awesome UOA for a 4.0l that was running Valvoline maxlife. I later found that valvoline maxlife comes in a full synthetic that claims to condition seals. Its marketed for vehicles with over 75k miles on them. My jeep has 96k miles on it. So, would this be a safe synth. motor oil to run? Will it make my leak worse and/or start a new one? And i guess the most important question is is this a good synth. motor oil? Also, if any of you guys have a jeep with the 4.0 it'd be great to know what kind of oil your running in it and what you think of it. Thanks guys
