Are Toyota, Nissan, and Honda coolants all compatible with each other? I mean as far as top offs, mixing, and the like.

Thank you much! I added about half a quart of the Honda to the refil bottle in my altima this morning as it was getting low, before I read your post I should mention. Oh well, I'll post to warn others if I have problems.

Personally, I doubt that you'll have any problems. The Japanese coolants have more in common, chemically, than they have differences. They all share:

> ethylene glycol as the major (~93%) working constituent,
> reliance on "OAT" technology as the primary corrosion inhibitor,
> a healthy dose of phosphates for quick corrosion inhibitor recovery in the event the organic acid salt layer breaks down for any reason. (the hybrid component making the product a "HOAT" mix)

Their principle differnces are most likely the labeling (duh...) and the leak indicator dye color used. Honda's is green, Toyota's is red, and I have no idea what color Nissan's, or Mitsubishi's is.
