I just found a part bottle of this additive, I have used it a couple of times, I had a Ford Ranger 5 speed, and every 10,000 miles I would have to change the ATF fluid because it was black. after adding IXL it went 60,000 miles and was still clean. I used it in my nitro 1/10th scale Losi Truck it raised the RPMs and I was not allowed to use it when racing in competition. I just bought a mini chopper with a 49 CC 2 cycle engine I added a small amount to the gas and it made a noticable difference, more speed and smoother.

Has anyone else ever used this Product?

Just doing a search on IXL and found very little information on it. I bought a quart bottle a few years ago and used it, but due to other changes on my vehicle at the same time, I have no idea if it improved fuel milage or not. In some of the few posts about this product, the question of "hydrocarbons" came up, but no definite answers, that I could see. There is still an IXL website and it appears the products still being sold. And I still don't know if it's good or bad.

Edited to add:
from the IXL website-"IXL is an 80% natural and 20% synthetic hydrocarbon compound. It DOES NOT contain any teflon (PTFE), silicon, molydeum disulfide, or graphite. It will blend with any lubricating oil or hydraulic fluid, synthetic or petroleum based."

Maybe some kind of phosphoric acid ester (look at VOA section)? If properly neutralized should do the job without big risks of corrosion in the long term...

You are talking over my head, (my only "F" in high school was in chemistry, ha ha) but I would like to hear more about this stuff. I like the idea that it treats the metal instead of the oil. The demo where I bought it was very impressive.
