all kidding aside my buddy revealed his stepmom is younger than he is. This is our modern life. I would argue nothing has changed, everything is more forceful and open. People are wrong, and they double down today. Before they'd feel stupid
I say good for you @Soft Cars. The older I get, the more apt I am to offer my opinion on this type of thing too. I'm old, harmless and have been married a long time. There's nothing wrong with a man being a proper man, but I understand people have different views on that today.
