Can tell as I managed to get my first sunburn of the year--did a tire rotation, and managed to get a burn in 1.5 hours (and it wasn't even a continuous 1.5hr in the sun either).

I think that's the earliest I've gotten one in the year, outside of windburn.

Supposed to hit 80 today. Had thought about taking a bike ride at lunchtime, but I think it'll be too warm, hasn't been long enough to acclimate.

It sneaks up on you. I got a slight bit last weekend working in the yard. I don't get a lot of sun in the winter so its easy to burn.

Jeez, wasn't it less than a week and a half ago that we had about a foot of wet cement snow??

Yep. I doubt I'll have more than 3 inches left when I get home tonight, maybe all of it will be gone. Except the 6' high pile, that might be knocked in half. I bet I might even be able to start yard work this weekend.

Been looking forward to summer, all winter, now I'm reminded of what summer actually is like. Whenever I contemplate moving (escaping?) to the south I'm reminded that their summers are worse!

Gotta take a long time to get a burn from the monitor--I'd rather go outside.

Was thinking about going last Saturday, but something came up last minute and I think there were wind hold issues, anyway.
Not sure about the coming weekend...feels so weird to think about skiing when it's HOT out. I'm not a huge fan of spring skiing in general, but the novelty factor can make it worthwhile for me.

If you like moguls/bumps like I do it's the best snow besides fresh (rare in east coast) powder

Rather unlikely to happen.

I'm told I have some Irish ancestry in me, and it certainly comes out in my complexion. My wife hates summer and would be fine with perpetual winter, me I can't handle "lots" of sun. I'm already starting to fret over summer heat--thankfully, tomorrow is mid 60's and then mid 50's after that, in the forecast.

I agree, the usual hard and fast East Coast conditions really suck for bump skiing.
I didn't really get bumps until we started going out West, then I realized they could be really fun. Usually the bump runs out here start showing a lot of brown once the snow gets soft on a regular basis, but probably not this season with the late storms.
Soft, wet snow is hero snow, the time to try runs you would normally be scared of! Not nearly as much fun as powder skiing once you get the hang of the latter, though.

Down here, we rarely have cold snaps. More like cool taps.
