Got my divorce paperwork in the mail, the other day. Some of you might have wondered where I went off to, been dealing with that for the last month, plus trying to get moved in, and still qualifiying for Premier Direct Jobber.

Anyhow, I thought you would get some kind of a certificate that said "Divorced" so I could frame it on the wall. Hahaha, All I got is the 20 page decree that we filed.

Anyhow I don't know if I should be congratulated or given condolences. It's either or most days. I promised myself it's a good thing and am trying to move forward. One thing is nice is having an apartment and and living by yourself (and my dog) No one to answer to and such.

I understand, it's bittersweet.

I don't miss the hassle with an unfaithful, overspending exwife. But I do miss my daughter.

However, young daughter was over last weekend, and at 7 years old, I have her helping with my oil changes.

She likes working with dad.

Divorce is rough, period. I can feel your pain java...I have a two year old girl that I just couldn't imagine being without everyday. Hopefully I won't get into that situation again, been there, done that. Hang in there msparks...things will get better. Trust me. Just go down to one of the Austin Peay college bars or Blackhorse Saloon and find you a young, eager college chick for a night or two......will restore your faith.

MS - we missed you. I knew something was up. Well - if she was unfaithful, then that was her problem. Avoid the whole bar thing, and find a good community/church thing - make good use of your time. You will be rewarded.

Been there, bro. I got remarried 6 yrs ago and couldn't be happier. My divorce turned out to be the best move I ever made but at the time was the hardest thing I ever did in my life. Take it slow and easy when you're on the rebound.

It's a **** shoot. Some of us get lucky. Some ..not so

Like you said, move on ..there's a life out there waiting to be experienced.

ditto.. been remarried for 3 1/2 yrs, divorce final for 5 (took almost a year). my life is so very much nicer without the ** factor of my first marriage. it only cost me a house, a brand new car ('00 Corrolla) and pretty much everything I owned, but it worth every cent to actually have a happy ** free life. met my wife at work, did the church thing, even got my 1st annulled (that took 3 years) and now the kids are old enough (5,3,and 15mo) so we can put them to bed, have my sister sit and watch tv while we have a quiet (or not so quiet) night out on the town.

Hey guys/gals thanks for all the comments.

I just couldn't imagine that it would be so hard. Especially since we have been doing this for over a year. But when it gets down to the wire, it's so much more intense.

If it's this hard on me, (someone who is positive) I can imagine how hard it's on someone who isn't so.

I'm looking forward to the future, it can only get better.

thanks again

You need to be forward-looking in a situation like that. Many people tend to dwell in the past-what's done is done and can't be changed. Move forward from here, keep a positive attitude, and know that for every door that is closed behind you another is opened in front (sounds cliche but there is a lot of truth to it).

+1....

The hardest thing that has happen in my life turned out to be the best thing!!!!

It does get better... but not right away. Slow down and get your single life together.
