I wonder what's the validity of doing a side impact with a vehicle twice the weight of the Civic doing 60 mph. I doubt even a mid sized car would fair too well in that situation.
wow, i'm a little suprised that the volvo didn't do a bit better, volvos are ahead of the curve when it comes to safety but technology and design have changed a lot between the times these cars were made.

It seemed more like fear mongering. According to that 'test' you won't survive in anything less than a truck. But how often do people get hit in the sides at highway speeds?
And also you can ram a tractor trailer into the side of that suv and it will probably look like that Civic. So physics already dictates the outcome so what's the point?
