I have to replace an outdoor motion-sensored double-flood light. The old one died. It's in a tough spot to reach, and required being high on a ladder, so Im hoping someone can point me toward a quality name brand, so I only have to replace this once. Thanks in advance!

The Heath Zenith ones with the basic 180-degree sensor (no creepzone or dualbrite ) seem to last forever in my experience, whereas I've had failures with their other sensors with more features. I usually replace the failed sensors with the 180-degree version that is sold separately.

You could also consider LED bulbs that should last longer. I'm slowly phasing in GE Ultra Bright PAR38 LEDs as the old halogens die out, but can't comment on longevity as it hasn't been that long. I believe the LED has to be dimmable in order to work with the motion sensor.

This LED unit works quite well and is priced right, especially with the 20% discount coupon. 75% five star ratings out of ~22,000 Amazon reviews.

I installed the same LEPOWER 3 years ago on my house. Works well, very bright, love the directional ability of the 3 panels. Not so good is that the rotating points aren't stiff enough, so a good wind will knock it out of adjustment. Tried putting epoxy on the joints but that didn't work. Ended up drilled and screwing in a small screw in each pivot point. That worked.
