Saw that once years ago when a guy working on the wash rack forgot to close the moonroof (it was night time) and proceeded to wash the customer's Villager. The customer was one of those hard to please folks. He wasn't all too happy as he saw the interior of his new ride soaked beyond imagination. The service writer did a great job keeping everything in check.

Nothing like the smell of a moldy interior...

This is why I pracitcally never use my sunroof. I'm worried I will forget to close it when I get out and it'll rain or a flying bird will poop inside. My car seems to attract bird poop a lot.

I think they can also be a high-maintenace item depending on its use. My friend left the roof open on her Integra and a dust storm came through Dallas, filling her tracks with sand and grit. It made the most horrible noises from then on until she spent big $$ getting Goodson Acura to disassemble and clean it. As for me, a sunroof serves one purpose in Dallas...letting hot air out after sitting in the sun all day.

My previous vehice had a sunroof that automatically closed when you shut of the car. My current vehicle does not auto clos...and i knew it would get me. Two nights ago we had 6 inches in 6 hours....you guessed it ..that was the night i didn't shut it.

That said i love the sunroof and will never own another vehicle without one.

Ouch! I feel your pain, having done that to my Monte Carlo a number of years ago. Everything was fine after it dried, but my heart sure sank at the time. I hope everything's alright for you.

I remember one time I accidentally left both of my windows down overnight (stupid enough) and it poured outside for hours. Like torrential downpouring rain. Luckily that was with the junky Cavalier my sister and I shared when I first got my license, and not in my car that I actually care about

After that, I've been extremely careful and paranoid about it.
