They aren't lined up waiting for someone to pick them off. If you are proposing what I think you are, disregarding what's cynically collateral damage, then you are not one bit better than they are, because you have sunk to their level by your own actions. Need I quote Nitzsche?

I would not watch the video. I could not. It is too painful to watch a life being taken. I remember seeing a video of a roadside execution during the end of the Vietnam War. That affected me so much, I can't stand the thought of seeing another video of that kind.

What drives a society to, not only kill another in a horrible way, but to share it with the world? That is just sick.

And perhaps this was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. Did you see that the country of Jordan has swore to take revenge for this? They said Jordan's response would be "strong, earth-shaking and decisive", and "The revenge will be as big as the calamity that has hit Jordan,". Hopefully, these are not empty words.

The older I get, the more I disdain war, and bloodshed. But when the world has a group of people that are so determined to deny others their basic freedoms, and goes about setting rule by terror, I believe good people have a moral responsibility to do what is necessary to protect the world from such evil.

But, I also am very discouraged in the US being the leader of such efforts. We are on the opposite side of the world. Jordan, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia. They all need to step up to the plate and take responsibility for policing their own back yard. The US is a very blessed people. And we have a responsibility to help others in the world, wherever we can. But we should not be the leader in this.

The problem is that doesn't work, the Russians tried it back in the 80's. The Germans tried it in Russian and failed, and the Japanese in China. All torching locals does is create a partisan resistance. You simply can't put enough bodies in the ground to stop it. Until the Muslim world stops supporting this stuff their is very little we can do, we tried for over a decade and we still are.

Short of a massive US commitment (500k-1m+ ground troops)which the American people would not put up with, nothing will change. Even with a massive commitment I don't know if it will work. These are not countries, not even cultures really, they are ideas. You can break a country down to nothing and rebuild it, we did it to Germany and Japan, but you can't take nothing down to nothing and rebuild it.

What we are doing now is the best idea, letting the locals get [censored] off more and more and fight them more and more. I guarantee their are many of our operatives over their supplying intel, probably killing some leaders, and hiring arms dealers to supply guys we can't. Also in Europe especially Germany, Greece and France their is now a very strong anti Muslim backlash, which I view as a good thing. Moderate Muslims need to see their is a price to be paid for all this nonsense.

Many similar things have been happening in sub-Sahara Africa over the decades.

People didn't do anything because it is in sub-Sahara Africa and not on TV.

If you didn't see it you wouldn't be posting about it.

And, no one thinks it will be coming to a mall near them.

What do you call the bombing of London, Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin, Toyko, etc where tens of thousands of civilians died?

Thousand will die, isis must be made to understand we will search every rat hole they are hiding in, drag them out and kill them.

I find it real hard to believe that the Pentagon doesn't know where Jihadi John is. In the background of those videos, it shows sand dunes. Tell me the Pentagon doesn't have the software capable of mapping out the exact angles of every single sand dune on the face of the earth.

You want to access the valuables . We are the only society in history that kills with out profit. To war with out profit is a waste.
