Many of these innocent people are our sources for intel against ISIS.

Eradicating these maniacs will take finesse. As a nation we've evolved away from carpet bombing.

It is too bad dealing with the world isn't more like a video game but that's the reality. Kira

Very true. I don't think anybody in the world wants to brutalize the innocent villagers again after ISIS already has. Its like a body cancer that is entangled with good organs and cells, you need to be careful not to kill the person if you go after the cancer.

Point taken but on the ground that's not always the case as seen in the fight between the Kurd Peshmerga and forward deployed elements of ISIS. That has been open combat in many cases. And the Kurds have been out gunned and out numbered, yet prevailed (for now) because they are some tough m-eff'ers. Yet we cower from properly supporting them because its not politically correct. Yet.

I hope, but not so sure, that people are waking up. This year is the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Holocaust. They tried to exterminate every Armenian (most all were Christian) in the early 1900's. Conservative count puts it at 1.5 million murdered. The world sat and watched and basically did nothing. Hitler was quoted before WWII when being asked about how he was going to get away with murdering Jews said, "Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?"

So have we learned? I hope so...

Time to wake the [censored] up.

Ruthlessness, savagery, and brutality, are nothing new.

Ever hear of Josef Mengele, Shiro Ishii, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot? All truly evil men. Like those evil men, isis needs to be stopped. Period.

My Wife is a Holocaust survivor.

She watched her Dad get skinned alive.
She watched her Mom starve to death.
She was given 1 Tablespoon of rice to eat in a death camp. Per week.

My thoughts.

I looked at the Video, you may also if you wish. Google would be your friend.

My personal belief is that everyone should see it just as most everyone saw the horrors of the Nazi prison camps.

Everyone in the world needs to be aware of what these Sons Of [censored] are capable of, to call them animals is an insult to all Gods creatures, even the serpent.

Really the dark angle is censured?

True, but I sense an underlying current among my fellow citizens that those sort of mass evil under takings don't happen anymore, that its a happy internet connected social world here in the current day and all that stuff is soooooo 20th century and before.... that we're too Utopian for that to prevail in the world today. Just ask any millenial, they'll explain it to you.

Everytime US intervened somewhere, nasty unintended consequences followed. you would think politicians should learn basic history, but they are apparently very dyslexic, or just follow the (higher paying lobbyist) money.

Add Che Guevara to that list.

I actually partially agree with this. We should have left Saddam Hussein in power and simply contained him. He did keep order, in the only way order can often be kept in that part of the world-- by brute force.

Until the Muslim world gets involved to fight these thugs I don't think we can stop this without getting into a ground war again in a place where there is no govt
The so called good Muslims are too quiet on this

We're never going to influence any peace in that part of the world. It's like whack-a-mole, you hit one and another group pops up. Same hatred, different name.

Agree, up to a point. There is however proof via countries like Turkey that there can be peace , moderation, and prosperity in the region with a somewhat secular democracy feel to the government. Key word is prosperity. People have to have jobs and a viable economy in which to live that provides some opportunity. I'm trying to think of other nations in the region that qualify, but Turkey is all that comes to mind at the moment.

Its a proven method and it works.

IMO showing this scum brutality beyond their wildest imagination is the way to go.

The thing is though, when the going gets tough for those terrorists, they start hiding behind civilians.

Ask those buddies if they think having a safe haven for terrorist training is not a threat. Its the same reason we didn't want the Taliban/Afghanistan sheltering Bin Laden's gang.

Of course. There are many more that belong on that list too. The North Korean "dear leader" and his father and grandfather come to mind. My point is that isis and their savage tactics are nothing new.
