"Gayle Clark says, I recommend for new cars, that you follow your vehicle manual directives to determine which oil is best for your vehicle; in most cases you must follow the directives to keep your warranty valid.

However, in most cases Synthetic Oil is more expensive than the traditional all-season oils, but it burns more efficiently. Basically this means instead of the traditional 3,000 mile or every three months schedule, you can stretch this time frame a little longer to 4,000 miles or every four months. "

Good catch Pablo.. They need help.

Gents, Do we dare and what does that mean? No more posting in your underwear while scratching those unmentionable places? Hmmm...we better cogitate on that idea.

Does this mean I won't have to add as much to the gas tank?

I wonder which synthetic gives the best mileage?

Q: Erin asks, do i need to change the timing belt on my mercedes c280 at 100,000 miles?

A: Dear Erin, You need to check your owners manual in the maintenance section to find out the recommended mileage. If you have 100,000 mile and it says to replace it before then, you're driving on borrowed time, make sure you do it soon.

If the belt breaks it can cause damage to the engine and cost you a lot of money to repair. You should also check into doing your water pump at the same time while they're in there. No more labor, only parts cost.

These engines use a timing chain - no belt! These women need lots of help! Unfortunately, they don't allow discussion, and are at the mercy of only a handful of people giving advice.

No joke, my girlfriend thought she didn't need to change her oil until it started to burn. At which point, she thought an oil change would fix the problem. Luckily, I didn't let it get this far.

Edith asks, Hello, could you tell me the correct procedure for checking air pressure on my tires? I have been getting some different opiions, and have already had an accident involving black ice and uneven wearing of my tires, which I understand has to do with my air pressure. Great idea for a website! Thanks in advance. Edith

I don't think I need to comment on this one.

In a way, she's right. If she reduced the air pressure in all her tires to zero, she would've had to take the bus instead and she wouldn't have had an accident. So yes, adjusting your tire pressure can help you avoid black ice.

Or, if she overinflates the tires to the point of a blow out, the frayed steel belts will probably grip the ice really well!
