I don't know if this car will be the much anticipated Apple iCar or not. But it is penned by a "legendary designer".

Apple fanatics probably will love this possible iCar, but I would stay at least 100 ft away from it.

It looks like it could be a modern version of the old East German Trabant.

Evidently they did not finish painting it for Timmy. The other colors of the rainbow have not been applied, yet.

Maybe Apple can pick up the pieces from Tesla's upcoming bankruptcy and take a shot at collecting their own share of government subsidy programs and cash investments from the next group of suckers standing in line.

Apple can only hope that people will think that such a project is about making cars. It worked for Musk and it should work, again.

Apple is a decade away from a car, that's assuming they pour billions into it.

Building a car is not like building a phone it takes a lot longer.

They are foolish for getting involved in this area, they should concentrate on the LCD screens all over modern cars, that's their business.

You can already have an Apple car for $300k, Apple should figure out how to do something like this but more integrated with a Honda. They might actually make money doing that.

Maybe they are not building a car at all, just someone tries to pump and dump their stocks by making up rumors from small pieces of news here and there.

I saw the sign on the news and medias, and I cashed out all the stocks I have at the peak, and paid off a huge portion of my home purchase.

If the rumor of them hiring only 400 people is true, they are not really building a car, but just some bits and pieces of technologies and patents for future bargaining need. So when someone in the future wants to build a car with certain safety / coordination algorithm they will need to pay Apple for that, or put their infotainment units in.

With enough money Apple could bring one in 5 years. Didn't it take Tesla about 5 years to bring the Roadster to market? Buy a lot of the technology and it can be possible.
