Normally when I eat M&Ms (I eat 30 almond M&Ms every day), I feel compelled to sort them by color and then eat the colors in order of least M&Ms to most. Am I an OCD personality?

Most people trend towards OCD more than not. I think more BITOG folks would fit right in with OCD mindsets.

Take care, bill

What is "properly sorted"? Alphabetically?

Don't you need something like a pill splitter to do that?

I use to do that when I was a kid, but I ate the ones with the most first. It is not OCD.

What it says about you

1) you are bored

2) you like things organized in groups

3) You support the larger group before the underdog. You may also feel more secure in a large group than you do by yourself.

If you eat the ears off a chocolate easter bunny first, you are normal. If you eat the tail first, you are a homo. If you bite the face off and scream "stop staring at me," you are paranoid schizophrenic.

Or is the fact that you second guess yourself say you are OCD...

I'd say that we all have some idiosyncrasies that fall into some "pattern" or rhythm format. I tend to make all attempts to make everything a "managed process", that's (ideally) totally automatic or self regulating. The OCD part could (perhaps) be in the form of continually trying to improve the "set it and forget it" process.
