A lot of religious people are big on charity and scammers know how to take advantage of that.

Fair enough. Could be the ones I get are not at that level yet.

It’s just spam. Maybe even a bot. Either way they’re very common and never ever reply to them cause then you’re just confirming a phone number.
Let me repeat that, never ever respond in any way. For example, do not reply and say you have the wrong number. Never in any way reply to anything.
Delete and move on, I typically on an iPhone delete and report spam.

Replying "You must have the wrong number" is OK. Don't reveal any more details about yourself or participate in further conversation. Obviously they already have your number.

Sure, it's okay, but 100% unnecessary. They "have" every single phone number in existence too, so the OP is one of millions+.
