Is this a non detergent oil

If it was a non-detergent, they would say so. The product would be called SAE 30 ND, or something similar. Also, this is an SL oil specified for automotive and small engine use. You wouldn't use an ND oil for those applications.

Actually, it depends on the manufacturer. I have had a number of VOA's done on 20, 30, and 40 weight ND oils and have found most have good levels of all additives except for the detergents.
