Is there a sealant/wax I can purchase locally that will last 6 mths?

Dawn dish detergent... wash really really good. Rinse really really good.

Apply Liquid Glass. Park in sun. One more coat in a week or two would be good. Applies quickly and comes off easily. Doesn't take much.

Only use Dawn to remove wax, sealant, etc. Use a made-for-cars/trucks soap to preserve existing wax/sealant.

As with any product used, try to get the bird doo doo and splattered bugs off ASAP since they can eat through any protection. Pine tree sap is the worst!!! Acckkkk!!!!

Keep the critter clean. Don't scrub any harder than you have to. Appears that the lamb's wool devices for car surface cleaning are easiest on the wax/sealant/paint.

My auto body guy, Andy Schank, swears by Toughguard. It lasts about two years if you park outside.Its really glossy but does not give the depth of a concours wax job.

New Duragloss 105 TPP sealant over Duragloss bonding agent seems very interesting. Even though fairly new, the 105 Should be available at Carquest and Napa auto stores. Very easy to use and very reflective. I just used it (two layers)this weekend on my BMW. It has never looked better. Even so, duarability is unknown to me at this point. Anyone know how durable the 105 is?

BTW, Duragloss claims, on the bottle, bug/bird resistance and lasting a year for the 105. Of course, so do many other polishes.

Zaino easily outlasts Klasse. I've had Zaino still beading water after a year. I've never had Klasse do that.

I don't believe that any thing will last 6 months
if vehicle is left outside.The longest I go is 90 days.I have been detailing cars for show,and myself for over 40 years.

My wife's van is parked outside all the time and it'll still bead water after a year when using Zaino. Unless something besides the Zaino is making the water bead, then the Zaino is lasting a year.

measure the angle of a drop of water on a new wax job,90+ degree is common, as wax ages the angle will decrease till the water is almost flat on the surface.yes it appears you still have beading after a year,but a 90 degree bead is getting you much more protection than a 5 degree bead.
