I'm sorry for starting a thread for what seems an old question, but here goes.

I have a 98 Corolla and definitely don't want dex or a dex like coolant in my car so I went to Advanced Auto and they said that their Peake Long Life wasn't a dex or dex like coolant. Is it the same as Peak Global Life Time (is phosphate-free and silicate-free)? He insists that it is, but the jug(Long Life) also says 150,000mi. It comes in both full and 50-50%.

Is Peak Global Life Time(phosphate-free and silicate-free)the same as Peake Long life?

Please help, I'm going under fast!

I use PEAK Global Lifetime in my wife's Accord and it is different than PEAK Longlife. To the best of my knowledge the Longlife 150,000 mile coolant is a dexcool type while Global is not. The barcode on Global Lifetime (50/50) is 7480400243. This barcode is the same on the silver jug that I started using years ago as it is on the blue jug that I recently bought at WM. Any other barcode is not PEAK Global Lifetime 50/50.

Now I'm getting confused again the first two posters seem to be agreeing, but your link goes to a post where you seem to be saying the same thing.

The odd part it on Peake's site the blue one(PEAK® Long Life) is the same color jug as the one at Advanced, but marked Life Time.

Or whatever, I can't tell if you are challenging me, the other bob posters or the Advanced employee.

Again if anyone could just post the name of a non-dex Peake collant without other confusing remarks please do?

Sorry, but I think this is more confusing than it should be.

Thanks, I did just that, but again mentioning(in this case)"organic" ads to the confusion because it leads to an endless circle of research where there is ambiguity.

Ken,

Thanks for your e-mail. PEAK LONG LIFE and PEAK GLOBAL LIFETIME can both be used in all makes and all models and can also be mixed together.

One main difference between the two is that PEAK GLOBAL LIFETIME is a premium product with a special corrosion inhibitor that allows us to offer a lifetime warranty.

PEAK LONG LIFE utilizes an older yet still good extended life technology inhibitor package that is designed for 5 year 150,000 mile protection.

Yes, PEAK LONGLIFE is an 2-EH formulation.

I just don't wan to trun my car into sludge...I drive 50,000mi/yr.
