I'm driving around in a 91 Accord 5 speed. Starting with the frst bitter cold day in NJ two days ago, it was difficult to get into gear and shift, but all seemed well once it warmed up a bit. Today, the clutch was 'loose' when up high and would not spring back to the top when depressed, I had to put my foot underneath and lift it up. However, now when I press it in it does not provide resistance until almost hitting the floor. Moreover, with the clutch fully depressed in 1st gear, I can take off w/o letting off of it and it sometimes stalls if I am in first gear with the clutch depressed..... ANyone know what can be wrong here? The clutch has always worked well and grabbed immediately on steep inclines... Car only has 90k miles on it.
