Is my cell booster going to work next year?

The booster is a Wilson 3g unit.

Will I still have 3g voice using my Iphone SE "4g" phone? (it is backwards compatible with 3g)

I use 4g when I got it, but in my home I got no signal and the 3g booster has been working great so far.

I do not get 4g indoors, but I thought, I read that 3g voice will still work, just the data will not. A new 4g cell booster is like a weeks pay, PITA.

It depends on which frequency band(s) are supported by the booster, not the type of modulation.

What carrier do you have?

Why not get wifi calling?
because I take calls everywhere. Not just at home.

Hmmm....
I never thought of this yet. I have the same Wilson WeBoost as you.

I don't see our rural 3G tower going away anytime soon, though

I have a dual band Wilson I get 4G when the weather is good! My dog is laying on me, I'll look at the model when I can get up...

As long as it supports the bands Verizon uses for 4G, you'll be fine.

VZW is beinf aggressive with their 3G sunset, they use CDMA EV-DO for their 3G unlike WCDMA used by AT&T and T-Mobile. Sprint also uses EV-DO for 3G. AT&T and T-Mobile's Faux-G is really a later revision of the WCDMA standard.
