Is Mazda OEM PE01-14-302 same as PE01-14-302A?

I currently have one of each for my SkyActiv '14 Mazda 6. Obtained 2 from a US Mazda dealer but exchanged one that was dented at a canadian dealer. Didn't notice the "A" on one of them although part number has it on both bills.

The filters appear physically identical and are both Made in Japan.

The letter on the end would imply it's a revised one. It's probably going to start replacing the -302 as inventories run out.

If you're curious, cut both open and see what's changed.

Yes, Mazda puts letters on the end of part numbers to indicate supercessions. On some parts they put a -9A or -9U as well.
